Why do we use this word so much today? Well, let’s go back to our ancestors 490 years before Christ, 490 BC. This is what marathon means. This is a very interesting data. Greek history. The first marathon commemorated the run of the soldier, Pheidippides from a battlefield near the town of Marathon, Greece. There was a town in Greece called Marathon. He went all the way to Athens, according to legend, Pheidippides ran approximately 25 miles to announce the defeat of the Persians to some anxious Athenians.
Building a brand is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to have the right mindset about this. You cannot be thinking a month in or two months in or even six months in that you’ve tried it and it didn’t work. There’s people that have been doing this for years. Companies that have been building this stuff for years. Big brands were not built in less than a year. This is a very unknown phenomenon. It doesn’t happen. Building brands is marathons. They always are marathons. That’s one thing that you want, you guys, to have as a mentality. You’re gonna try things out you’re gonna fail. You’re gonna actually go ahead and try and make it again and you’re gonna probably fail again. And you’re gonna keep on failing and continuing. Most of the campaign’s that you run, be prepared, they might be losers. In the end, as you master the art of advertising and social media you can become good at it.
It’s been known that running a marathon was something special. You’re here because you want to build a brand, produce enough income for you to survive, and have your dreams, have all your goals, all your aspirations. Put it towards the long-term marathon that you’re running on building brands. We’re gonna try to do a severe, intense, awesome branding effect for your brand and your products. While at the same time gonna try to build enough revenue and build a cash flow machine for you to survive and continue growing the company. Those are different strategies and building a brand is actually the right way to go about it.
